Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.
Course overview
Course description
This course is appropriate for those who feel confident with their digital skills or would like to improve them, so don’t worry if this is new to you. This course will provide practical guidance to help you make your photos really stand out and how to develop the use of format, orientation and editing for different grounds. It is fun way to use your phone ‘to crop your photos, adjust contrast, colour, and exposure . You will find out how to find proper light for your subject: to see which is the best light to take pictures of portraits, landscapes and objects. You will learn new words related to using the smart phone apps .
You will gain confidence in using and controlling smartphone’s cameras.
You will also learn how to upload your photos on our online learning platform , Canvas .
You will be encouraged to take part in group discussions throughout the sessions , where you can share experience of taking pictures ; good experiences or bad ones!
This course will help you move into digital skills courses , beginners or advanced .
This is a women’s only session.
