Course overview
Course description
This course focuses on four line drawing techniques, starting with an engaging induction into the world of line drawing, setting the stage for our exploration of four distinct techniques. You will be introduced to continuous blind, cross, and basic line drawing. Each line-drawing technique will be introduced with a visual example and demonstration. You will have the chance to work in pencil and pen on paper to experiment with each line drawing technique. You will have the opportunity to compare and contrast outcomes, deciding which line-drawing technique you prefer and which medium you favor. You will have the chance to test out creating line-drawing in different time frames to explore how much you can achieve in 30 sections, 1 minute, 3 minutes, and 5 minutes.
You will learn through practical tasks and peer learning. You will receive feedback from your tutor.
By the end of this course, you'll be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to confidently employ various line drawing techniques and produce your own artwork.
