Course description
Do you enjoy art and craft? Do you enjoy meeting new people and getting out into the community? If the answer is yes, then this course is for you! You will be making a fun large decorative mosaic piece with others in a group for the community and for some special groups of the centre, lots of brightly coloured broken ceramic tiles and crockery will be used and the masterpiece displayed in the centre for all to see.
Our expert tutor will guide you, as well as teach you a little history of the techniques used and discover local and well-known artists who use the techniques within the mosaics skills, as well as discover and learn a little history all about mosaics as the course progresses. Develop and explore a fun method of making a colourful mosaic, using broken ceramic tiles and crockery. Learn in a relaxed environment whether you have worked with mosaics before, or you are a complete beginner - it doesn’t matter! This is all about making something special for your community and feeling like you are a part of something special. You will be able to find out about other course we offer and who knows, this may be the beginning of your WEA journey!
