Get Ready for ESOL is a pre‑entry course for adults who are at the very beginning of their English language journey. This 24‑hour course helps you build the essential skills you need before joining an accredited Entry 1 ESOL qualification. You will learn to take part in short conversations, understand simple spoken information, read everyday words and signs, and write basic words and phrases. You will also develop strategies to ask for repetition or clarification when you do not understand. This course provides a supportive introduction to English and prepares you for further ESOL study.

Language for Work (Pre‑Entry) supports adults who want to develop basic English for everyday workplace communication. The course builds on early confidence and introduces simple speaking, listening, reading and writing skills needed for entry‑level work environments. Learners practise short conversations, follow simple instructions and recognise key workplace vocabulary. Activities are practical, supportive and designed to help learners understand what communication looks like in real work settings. This course prepares learners for further ESOL study and progression to Beginners Language for Work (Entry 1).

This beginner-friendly sewing course helps you build confidence and practical skills in machine and hand sewing. You’ll learn to use a sewing machine, work with different fabrics, and follow commercial patterns to create simple items like a tote bag. The course also introduces basic business skills, including pricing, marketing, and planning a product line. It is Ideal for those preparing for work, further learning, or community engagement. This course supports your journey into creative enterprise and personal development.

This course is designed to help you prepare for the UK driving theory test in a practical way. The course focuses on building knowledge of the Highway Code, road signs, and driving rules while developing the English vocabulary needed to understand and answer test questions. By the end of the course, you will have gained confidence, improved understanding of road safety, and developed the skills needed to progress successfully to the theory test.

English Conversation (Pre Entry) is a gentle introduction to speaking and listening for adults who are new to learning English. The course focuses on building confidence, recognising familiar words, and taking part in short, supported conversations. Learners practise simple greetings, everyday phrases and basic listening tasks in a relaxed, friendly environment. Activities use pictures, real life objects and guided practice to help learners communicate in familiar situations. This course is ideal for learners who need reassurance, confidence building and a positive first step before progressing to an Entry 1 ESOL level course such as English For Everyday Life.

ESOL for Life in the UK helps lower level ESOL learners build the language and cultural knowledge needed to take part confidently in everyday life. The course introduces key UK services such as schools, healthcare and local councils, and explores common celebrations and public holidays. Learners develop simple language to talk about rights, responsibilities and daily routines. Activities include discussions, matching tasks, short texts and guided speaking practice. The course supports learners to describe personal experiences, understand how life in the UK works and communicate more independently in familiar situations.

This Conversation with Baking course supports pre‑entry ESOL learners to build confidence in speaking and listening through fun, practical baking activities. Each session introduces simple vocabulary, short instructions and everyday conversation linked to baking, ingredients and kitchen routines. Learners work together to prepare easy bakes, share ideas and practise language in a relaxed, supportive environment. The course promotes wellbeing by encouraging social interaction, creativity and enjoyment while developing essential communication skills. No reading or writing is required beyond individual ability, and all activities are designed to be accessible, confidence‑building and enjoyable.

Learners practise giving information, asking questions, understanding short explanations and reading everyday materials such as notes, messages, leaflets and timetables. Activities focus on real‑life situations including making arrangements, asking for help, following instructions and talking about daily routines. The course supports learners to communicate with greater independence and prepares them for progression to Entry 3 ESOL.
