We will use a variety of teaching methods, quizzes, videos, group discussions and practical tasks to focus on the learning goals. Mastering effective support in schools. The knowledge gained can also benefit your child's learning at home. Explore various career paths within the sector and acquire the essential skills needed for progression.

Course description

The course will give you an overview of how to provide confident and effective support in schools. The knowledge gained could also help you with your own children’s learning at home. It aims to give you an understanding about routes into different areas within the sector and we will explore the skills you will need to progress.

We will explore the national curriculum of England, and all the different skills that are learnt through play. We will explore strategies for teaching literacy and numeracy with the use of digital research and paired mini-teach exercises.

We will examine children's social, emotional and behavioural development in education and begin to explore disability and working in special needs education.

You will receive continual verbal feedback alongside the written marking of your work. You will also be encouraged to support each other in your learning.

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.
