Living Wage Week 2021


Here at the WEA we are really pleased to continue our support in being a living wage employer. 

The Living Wage campaign is an independent movement of businesses, organisations and people who believe a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. Employers choose to pay the real Living Wage on a voluntary basis and it provides an ethical benchmark for responsible pay.

WEA wins online stewardship award

WEA has won the best online stewardship award at Fundraising Everywhere’s Charity Virtual Events Awards 2021.

The award, voted by the public, recognises the incredible impact the charity made with  its online member lecture series, particularly through the pandemic which became a lifeline to the WEA membership, many of whom are older people and were shielding.   

WEA supports Lifelong Learning Week – 8-12 November 2021


Lifelong Learning Week is a celebration of the power of learning to transform peoples’ lives. Coordinated by Festival of Learning, Lifelong Learning Week takes place in early November each year.
