Practical English Skills (Entry 2) helps learners develop more confident English for everyday communication at home, in the community and in simple work‑related situations. The course builds on Entry 1 skills and introduces longer conversations, short texts and straightforward writing tasks. Learners practise giving information, asking questions, understanding short explanations and reading everyday materials such as notes, messages, leaflets and timetables. Activities focus on real‑life situations including making arrangements, asking for help, following instructions and talking about daily routines. Workplace Confidence in Maths is a practical Level 2 course designed to develop the mathematical skills needed for employment and real-life workplace situations. The course focuses on applying maths in meaningful contexts, including working with fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio and proportion. You will use formulae to calculate area, perimeter and volume, convert between units of measure, and interpret information from workplace documents such as payslips, invoices, tables, charts and timetables. Sessions are based on realistic workplace scenarios such as budgeting, measuring materials, analysing information and comparing costs.
