Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Course overview
Course description
This course is suitable for the absolute novice or beginner in the journey of beauty therapy or maybe you would just like to improve your existing skills. Starting with the basics, you will learn why skincare is important, why we should start at an early age, what to look out for in the way of infections and how to give friends and family the ultimate glow up. Skin care is the single most important thing to looking fresh and healthy. Your experienced tutor will demonstrate how to achieve this and show you trade secrets of how to look amazing.
Once you have the basics, you will move onto basic make up application. You will learn how to apply a flawless foundation, eyebrow shapes and how they can change your face, how to choose colours, contouring and how to get the perfect lipstick shade. You will work on live models and experience the differences between doing your own makeup and working on another's face.
Your tutor will provide everything you will need but you are encouraged to bring your own make up brushes, mascara and eyeliners for hygiene purposes.
Alongside this course, you will also study Health and Safety in the Beauty Industry and Starting Your Own Business.
