Healthy Living: Nutrition for Children

We are bombarded all the time with constantly conflicting messages about health and wellbeing. We all know that a balanced diet is essential for growing children. However, it is hard to know what is good and healthy and what simply advertises itself to appear good and healthy! There so many heavily processed and fast foods cunningly and cleverly marketed as low fat / low sugar / low salt and 'healthy' it is often really hard to truly know what is healthy for children. It is even harder to make informed judgements about what they should - and even should not eat. This course aims to dispel the myriad of myths surrounding 'healthy' food. The course will give you facts so you will be equipped to make the right decisions about children’s nutrition. Whether you are a parent, carer, educator, social worker or just have an interest in children’s nutrition, this course will have something for you.
