Course description

The British Museum is the most significant ancient Egyptian display in the UK. It includes a wide-ranging collection of pieces from the small to monumental from Predynastic artefacts to Graeco-Roman pieces which are almost 4000 years later.

In this tour we will visit three of the ancient Egyptian galleries at the British Museum. Our visit will start with Nubia (the area to the south of Egypt in modern Sudan) followed by the fascinating early Egypt display and finally some of the major pieces on display in the sculpture gallery.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the pieces as we make our way round.
