A further opportunity to benefit from spending more time in nature whilst exploring organic food growing, community regenerative farming and permaculture design Delivered by our experienced, professional tutor, and hosted at the award winning Bosavern Community Farm , this course is sure to empower and inspire. You will gain practical experience in topics such as soil restoration, caring for crops, natural fertilizers mulching and ways to increase local biodiversity . You will also develop first hand understanding in the principles and ethics of permaculture, community collaborative working and the people care aspect of permaculture.

Course description

A welcoming course which is open to all abilities and levels of experience, whether you are continuing from the level 1 or 2 courses or if this is your first course

Offering a valuable opportunity to be in the great outdoors whilst exploring our local ecosystems and food growing.

You are invited to pursue your interest in nature whilst developing skills in organic food growing and practical techniques in regenerative farming such as crop sowing, seasonal crop care, preparing land for growing and harvesting

This course will continue to explore the ‘People Care’ aspect of Permaculture Design, exploring collaborative techniques used to set up family or community projects.

We are fortunate that the Spring and Summer Organic Growing Toolkit courses Level 1 , 2 and 3 will be hosted by the hugely inspiring Bosavern Community Farm in St Just and facilitated by our experienced local tutor

We will be based outside as much as possible, with plenty of breaks and relaxing lunch times. In the event poor weather we will use the sheltered areas to continue our nature based or design activities and group work

Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle, appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.

What financial support is available?

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.

All of our digital content, teaching and learning activities and assessments are designed to be accessible so if you need any additional support you can discuss this with the education experts during your enrolment journey and we will do all we can to make sure you have optimal access.
