*Most students will not need to pay a fee for these courses. You are eligible for a FREE course if you are:

  • Unemployed and in receipt of an income-based benefit (for example JSA, ESA or Universal Credit) 
  • Employed and earning less than £20,000 a year
  • Studying English for Speakers of Other Languages (regardless of income)
  • Studying for your first full Level 2 qualification on an eligible course 
  • Studying English and/or maths up to and including Level 2 
  • Studying an Essential Digital Skills qualification up to and including Level 1 
  • Aged 19-23 and studying for your first full Level 3 qualification on an eligible course
  • Studying for a Level 3 qualification where you do not already have one or higher
  • Studying for a second Level 3 qualification if you are on low income/benefits
