Foundations in Working in Early Years, Schools and Colleges gives you an introduction to the key principles and expectations of working in these three different education settings. You’ll explore the unique needs of young children in early years environments, including the importance of play-based learning, warm and nurturing interactions, and creating safe, inclusive spaces where children can grow and thrive. You’ll also learn about the roles, responsibilities, and professional skills needed to support teaching and learning in primary and secondary schools. This Foundation Course in Support Work in Schools and Colleges introduces you to the role of support staff in education. It’s designed for beginners who want to help teachers and support children, young people, or adults in learning settings. You’ll learn how schools and colleges work and explore the different roles that support teaching and learning. The course covers the basics, including communication, teamwork, creating a positive learning environment, and understanding the needs of different learners. Through simple activities, discussions, and practical tasks, you’ll build confidence and get a clear picture of what support work involves. You’ll also learn about respect, inclusion, and how to help learners feel safe and supported. Throughout the course, you’ll reflect on your own skills and interests and think about possible next steps, such as volunteering, further training, or working toward a qualification in supporting teaching and learning.

Build on your communication skills with this ESOL speaking and listening course. This English course for adults is aimed at speakers of other languages. It will help you improve your speaking and listening skills to communicate better in English. Entry 2 ESOL courses are right for you if you have basic speaking and listening skills in English. This course will help you gain confidence to speak about everyday topics and improve your comprehension. There are also reading and writing courses at this level. If you’re helping others access ESOL classes in the UK, you’ve come to the right place.

The course introduces essential skills such as recognising common digital symbols, understanding hardware components and using a keyboard and a mouse confidently. Learners will practise connecting devices securely to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and learn internet safety tips. With hands-on activities and clear guidance, this course builds confidence and prepares learners for further digital learning in a supportive environment.

This course is funded by the Department for Education and only open to residents living in non devolved authorities.  Budgeting Skills (Home Office) supports Entry 1–Entry 2 ESOL learners to understand everyday money management in the UK. The course introduces common household expenses such as rent, food and utility bills, and helps learners recognise UK coins, notes and payment methods including cash, card and contactless. Learners develop basic vocabulary for talking about money, shopping and bills, and practise reading simple documents such as receipts and utility bills. Through practical activities, they begin to sort needs from wants and track basic spending, building early confidence in managing their personal budget.

You will explore how everyday choices affect the environment and discover easy changes you can make at home and in your community. The course covers saving energy and water, reducing waste, recycling, and making affordable, ecofriendly choices. You will take part in practical activities, group discussions, and real life problem solving. By the end of the course, you will feel more confident about taking positive steps towards a greener lifestyle and understanding how your actions make a difference.
