This course is funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and is only available to residents living within the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority area. Ready to make a difference? Step Into Care is a dynamic five-week online pre-employment programme designed to launch your career in Adult Social Care. Aligned with the new care pathway, this course equips you with essential knowledge, values, and skills to thrive in the sector. You’ll explore key topics including Dementia, Mental Health, Autism, and Learning Disabilities, and complete the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training to support inclusive, person-centred care. You’ll gain knowledge about the expected behaviours in the role; understand the rights of those you care for—and your own—and develop the professional behaviours employers expect. Alongside care-specific learning, you’ll sharpen your CV, job application, and interview skills with expert guidance. On completion, our dedicated Step Into Care work coach will arrange a working interview in a real care setting, giving you the chance to step confidently into your future.

This course is funded by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and is only available to residents living within the West Yorkshire Combined Authority area Get Ready for ESOL is a pre‑entry course for adults who are at the very beginning of their English language journey. This 24‑hour course helps you build the essential skills you need before joining an accredited Entry 1 ESOL qualification. You will learn to take part in short conversations, understand simple spoken information, read everyday words and signs, and write basic words and phrases. You will also develop strategies to ask for repetition or clarification when you do not understand. This course provides a supportive introduction to English and prepares you for further ESOL study.
