Take your speaking and listening skills to the next level with this ESOL course. Improving your communication skills will make you feel more confident interacting with others in the UK. ESOL entry 3 courses build on skills you learnt at entry 2. Gain confidence speaking in new and familiar situations and learn tools for effective communication. This is an English course for adults. It is aimed at speakers of other languages. ESOL classes are divided into three areas: reading, writing, and speaking & listening. If you’re helping others access ESOL courses in the UK, you’ve come to the right place.

Course description

What we’ll cover

  • Learn to ask and answer questions in new situations

  • Take part in debates and discussions, giving your opinion and interacting with others

  • Learn complex grammar, such as the present perfect tense, and talk about habits in the past

  • Develop listening skills to identify information during a talk or presentation

  • Prepare and give a short presentation in English to improve your speaking skills

This is an ESOL entry 3 course for adults. You will continue to develop your speaking and listening skills so that you can communicate in everyday situations.

You need some prior knowledge to take this course, that’s why you’ll do a skills check to enrol. Don’t worry, this isn’t an exam. It’s for us to make sure you get on the right course for you.

Our friendly team will contact you to start your skills check as part of your booking.

When you complete this module, you can continue with other entry 3 ESOL courses. Once you finish the reading, writing, and speaking & listening courses, you can progress to level 1 English courses.

There are also “Get Ready” courses between each module to prepare you for the next course.

What to expect

This ESOL entry 3 speaking and listening course takes around 120 hours to complete.

Please note that you’ll need an internet connection to study this ESOL course. This is so you can learn English through our digital learning platform, Canvas.
