Advanced ESOL Essential Skills

This course is funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority and is only available to residents living within the West Midlands Combined Authority area. Advanced ESOL Essential Skills (Entry 3) develops the language needed for more complex everyday communication at home, in the community and in work‑related situations. Learners practise taking part in discussions, understanding longer explanations, reading everyday documents and writing short paragraphs on familiar topics. The course focuses on building confidence using clearer, more detailed English in real‑life situations such as making arrangements, giving opinions, asking questions and understanding simple procedures. Activities include role‑play, group discussions, reading tasks and guided writing to help learners communicate more independently and accurately.
