Learn basic communication skills with this ESOL speaking and listening course. This English course is for speakers of other languages. It will help you learn essential speaking and listening skills to be able to communicate in English. Entry 1 ESOL courses help people who are just starting to learn English. This course will help you gain confidence to speak about basic topics and understand core words. There are also reading and writing courses at this level. Advanced ESOL Essential Skills (Entry 3) develops the language needed for more complex everyday communication at home, in the community and in work‑related situations. Learners practise taking part in discussions, understanding longer explanations, reading everyday documents and writing short paragraphs on familiar topics. The course focuses on building confidence using clearer, more detailed English in real‑life situations such as making arrangements, giving opinions, asking questions and understanding simple procedures. Activities include role‑play, group discussions, reading tasks and guided writing to help learners communicate more independently and accurately. By the end of the course, learners will feel more confident managing everyday communication and will be prepared for higher‑level ESOL study or entry‑level employment.

Conversating with Crafting is a 12 session course designed to help adult ESOL learners build confidence in speaking and listening while enjoying a range of simple, creative craft activities. Taught over 24 guided learning hours, the course offers a fun, low pressure way for learners to return to the classroom, practise everyday English and develop practical craft skills. Each session combines conversation, creativity and wellbeing, giving learners the chance to talk about materials, techniques and ideas while working on accessible craft projects. The focus is on communication, confidence building and enjoying the social, calming benefits of creative activity.

Foundations in the Creative Arts enables you to explore creativity in a relaxed, supportive space. Creative Arts is an umbrella term covering a range of activities and themes such as practical art, drawing and painting, mosaics, sewing and craft, and creative writing. No previous experience is needed, making the set course ideal as a first step back into learning. The course supports health and wellbeing by encouraging relaxation, mindfulness through making, and time to focus on enjoyable creative activities. You will build confidence, reduce stress, and develop a sense of achievement while connecting with others in a positive, social environment. Sessions focus on simple techniques, sharing ideas, and enjoying the creative process rather than perfection. By the end of the course, you will have created a small personal project and have gained inspiration to continue creative activities at home or move on to other community or skills based courses.

Confidence for Creatives is a practical and reflective course designed to help you understand yourself, build essential employability skills, and grow as a confident creative thinker. Through activities such as the Shield of Life and exploring the 7 Elements of Society, you will identify personal barriers and consider how your life experiences shape who you are. You will develop key skills including communication, public speaking, problem‑solving, and CV writing, while learning the importance of assertive behaviour. The course concludes with creating a visual representation of your core values, helping you understand their impact and how they guide your future.

The course introduces essential skills such as recognising common digital symbols, understanding hardware components and using a keyboard and a mouse confidently. Learners will practise connecting devices securely to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and learn internet safety tips. With hands-on activities and clear guidance, this course builds confidence and prepares learners for further digital learning in a supportive environment.
