Baking on a Budget” is an 11-hour course meticulously created to equip participants with essential baking skills while maximising affordability. Participants will master the art of creating delightful baked goods using cost-effective ingredients and simple techniques. The curriculum covers fundamental baking principles, including ingredient substitutions, portion management, and efficient kitchen organisation, ensuring optimal resource utilisation. Through hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises, students will learn to prepare a variety of treats, such as cookies, cupcakes, and brownies, perfect for school fair stalls. Cooking on a budget for Under 1 Roof (Multiply Norfolk)

Join us to learn how to make delicious food on a budget. This course will show you how to cook using basic ingredients at less than half the cost of shop bought produce. There are two parts to this course, a lunch menu and a ‘make, bake and take’ dish for you to take away with you. The lunch menu guides you through measuring and adjusting ingredients to cater for the volume of people you need to feed and also compares the cost to that of Ready Made, shop bought dishes. This course also gives you an opportunity to taste the difference between shop bought and freshly made produce. This course is free to anyone in Norfolk who is 19+ and hasn't achieved a grade C (equivalent) in Maths.

Cookery - Air Frying

An air fryer is a countertop convection oven that, unlike traditional deep fryers, does not submerge the food in oil while simulating the frying process. Browning processes, such as the Maillard reaction, are triggered when hot air is blown around at a high rate of speed by a fan. This results in the formation of a crisp layer. Many fantastic, healthy meals can be made with an air fryer, so join our face to face course in Gloucester to find new recipes whilst cooking with a group of other foodies and being guided by one of our enthusiastic tutors!
