Course overview
Course description
This accredited Entry 2 ESOL Speaking and Listening course is for adults who already know some basic English and want to improve their confidence in everyday communication. It will help you develop the speaking and listening skills you need for daily life, study and work in the UK. You do not need to have completed Entry 1, but you should be able to take part in simple conversations before joining this course.
ESOL Skills for Life qualifications are available in Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing. You can take this Entry 2 module on its own, or study it alongside the other ESOL courses. Many learners choose to complete all three to gain the full ESOL Skills for Life qualification and continue progressing through the levels.
This Entry 2 Speaking and Listening course takes around 120 hours to complete. You will learn how to understand short explanations, follow multistep instructions, ask for clarification, and take part in conversations on familiar topics. You will also practise expressing opinions, giving simple reasons, and listening for key information in everyday situations.
When you finish this module, you can continue with Entry 2 Reading or Writing, or progress to Entry 3 when you feel ready.
