Our courses make learning about numbers fun and engaging

Age 19+ and live or work in Aberdeenshire, Fife, Glasgow, or the Highlands? The WEA have a range of FREE online numeracy courses.

From helping your child with homework to paying bills and baking, numbers are everywhere. Improving skills with numbers can help you (or your service users/ employees) to improve your health, help you get a better job and find a good deal.

If you struggle with numbers (or know someone who does), you should know you’re not alone…8 out of 10 adults feel negative about numbers.

Studies prove that maths skills can be learned at any age and stage, with the right support, and there's never been a better time to get help with your number skills.

We’re currently working with parents, volunteers, the NHS, ESOL Learners and employers in food manufacturing.

We’d love to hear from you if are an individual, employer or third-sector organisation, who would like to improve your own number skills or those of your workforce or the people you serve. We can organise group tasters or courses at a time and place to suit you.

We also have a range of badged digital numeracy courses. Learn at a time and pace to suit you and get optional free 1-2-1 support from one of our numeracy tutors.

We’re delighted to have contributed to a new community learning resource pack this year which contains ways for adult learners and families to celebrate and enjoy Maths Week Scotland.

The pack takes the theme for 2023 Maths in Motion and shows how there are numbers in almost everything that we do and think about.
