Tutor

Janet Wilson has worked with the WEA for five years, where she primarily teaches History courses. Her teaching focuses on the History of English, the History of Writing, and the Origins of Idioms. She has also worked as an associate lecturer with the Open University for 23 years.

She holds a PhD in Linguistics, a Master’s degree in Autism, a first-class honours degree in Language Studies, and a PGCE. Having returned to education as a mature student, she is a strong advocate for lifelong learning.

The courses she runs are designed to stimulate interest and encourage the sharing of knowledge about the fascinating stories behind the language we use.
