Clare Jackson

Tutor

“Classroom teaching remains an endless source of excitement and pleasure for me. To listen to the exchange of ideas and fresh approaches to texts is a privilege – especially with such willing learners from the WEA who bring such a broad range of experience and insight to their classes. I feel immensely lucky to have taught English Language and Literature for a living.”

Clare began her teaching career by gaining her English degree and PGCE at Oxford University, and followed up with a Master’s degree in Modern Literature and Culture from the University of York. She has over a decade of teaching experience and has worked in a variety of settings - comprehensive schools, six form colleges, and adult classes. Clare has also had her articles published in emagazine and The English Review
