Many of these artists are at the start of their creative journeys, including members of the ESOL community and learners with diverse needs.

You'll see:

  • Foundational Skills & New Beginnings: Vibrant fruit and portrait studies from our brand-new art room, exploring form, colour, and pointillism techniques.
  • The Portrait Project: A culmination of three terms of work. Trace the learners' journey from studying Van Gogh's expressive mark-making to creating their own personal self-portraits.
  • Live Illustration Studies: Unique portraits of the learners created by their tutor during live, sitting demonstrations.

This exhibition is more than a display, it is a celebration of confidence, individuality, and community.

By visiting, you are supporting local learners as they share their achievements with the public, while discovering the positive impact of creative education.

As part of the week, we're running a series of free two-hour taster sessions so you can get a feel for what we offer. These are relaxed, friendly, and open to everyone:

• Building Confidence
• Basic First Aid
• Communicating Confidently
• Mental Health Awareness
• How to Care for Children and Young People
• Food Hygiene

No experience necessary — just come along and give it a go.

We're located on the first floor at Phoenix House Leicester, on the corner of Wellington Street and King Street.
