Culture, Community, and Courage at the WEA

The WEA Learning Hub in St Pauls invites you to an open day celebrating the courage and resilience of our ESOL learners. Representing over 40 nationalities of refugees and asylum seekers, our learners are coming together to showcase their diverse journeys of arriving in the UK, settling into new neighbourhoods, and learning a new language.

This event highlights the vibrant, inclusive community they have built within the WEA.

You will have the chance to experience and learn about different traditions and cultures through food, music, videos, art, and personal storytelling.

Each classroom will be curated by a group of learners who will be there on the day to share what they have chosen to present and explain what it means to them.
