Learn basic writing skills with this foundational English course for beginners. This English course is for speakers of other languages. It will help you learn to write in English to study, work, and live in the UK. Entry 1 ESOL courses help people who are just starting to learn English. It will help you gain confidence to write basic sentences in English. There are also reading and speaking & listening courses at this level. Maths for Work Readiness is a practical Entry 3 course designed to help learners develop the numeracy skills needed for employment and workplace settings. Over 12 sessions, learners will strengthen skills in number, money, time, measurement and data handling through real-life work-related scenarios. Activities focus on tasks such as calculating wages, understanding payslips, managing budgets, measuring materials, reading timetables and interpreting basic workplace information. Delivered in a supportive environment, the course builds confidence and independence. By the end of the course, learners will feel more prepared to apply maths skills in employment, training and further accredited study

English for Work Readiness (Entry 3) develops the language needed for more complex everyday and work‑related communication. Learners practise taking part in discussions, understanding longer explanations, reading everyday documents and writing short paragraphs. The course builds confidence in communicating independently at home, in the community and in work‑related situations. Activities focus on real‑life tasks such as making arrangements, giving opinions, understanding procedures and writing clear messages. This course prepares learners for Level 1 ESOL course such as English for Work and Study or entry‑level employment.

Confidence Building is a friendly, supportive course designed to help you feel more confident in everyday life and work. You will explore self-belief, communication skills, and practical ways to manage nerves and negative thinking. The course can be tailored to your goals—whether you are returning to work, preparing for interviews, starting a small business, or wanting to improve your self-esteem. You will take part in activities such as group discussions, goal setting, role play, and simple planning tasks. Step by step, you will build your confidence, share experiences, and celebrate your progress in a safe and encouraging environment. By the end of the course, you will leave with practical skills and a personal action plan to help you take your next steps.

This 24‑hour course helps you build the essential skills you need before joining an accredited Entry 1 ESOL qualification. You will learn to take part in short conversations, understand simple spoken information, read everyday words and signs, and write basic words and phrases. You will also develop strategies to ask for repetition or clarification when you do not understand. This course provides a supportive introduction to English and prepares you for further ESOL study.

This course prepares learners for further ESOL study and progression to Entry 2 ESOL level courses such as Practical English Skills.

You will gain confidence in using laptops and other digital devices, keeping devices updated, and applying basic security settings. You will also learn to create and manage documents using Word, access Microsoft 365, download apps safely and set up and use email effectively. The course also covers browsers, websites, and online safety, including recognising scams and protecting passwords. Finally, you will explore secure online transactions and payment methods, ensuring you can navigate the digital world safely and independently.
