This short course helps you learn how to write a clear and simple CV. A CV is a document that tells employers about you, your skills, and your experience. During the course, you will learn what a CV is and why it is important when looking for work or volunteering. You will look at the different parts of a CV, such as your personal details, skills, work and/or volunteering experience. You will think about your own strengths and the things you are good at. You will practise writing short sentences about yourself and your experience. The course will also help you understand what employers want to see on a CV and how to present your information clearly. By the end of the course, you will have created your own CV that you can use when applying for jobs, courses, or volunteering opportunities. You will also feel more confident talking about your skills and experience

This course is course designed for adults with little or no experience using technology. Learners will explore the basics of digital devices. The course introduces essential skills such as recognising common digital symbols, understanding hardware components and using a keyboard and a mouse confidently. Learners will practise connecting devices securely to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and learn internet safety tips. With hands-on activities and clear guidance, this course builds confidence and prepares learners for further digital learning in a supportive environment.

Thankfully, there are simple digital tools that make the process easier, and you can access them right from your smartphone. This course helps you build the skills to search and apply for jobs using your smartphone. You’ll learn how to upload your CV, write a cover letter specific to a job role, use the basics of AI and apply for a job role using your smartphone. This course is designed for beginners and offers step-by-step guidance in a supportive environment.

Societal Norms and Culture in the UK introduces Entry 1–Entry 2 ESOL learners to everyday cultural expectations, social behaviours and key values that shape life in the UK. The course helps learners use simple English to take part in daily conversations, make small talk and ask for help in public places. Learners explore major UK celebrations, British values and common social behaviours such as queuing and punctuality. The course also supports learners to identify where to find help for personal safety, legal issues and community support. Activities focus on practical communication, cultural awareness and confidence in real‑life situations.

Maths for Everyday Life is a practical, supportive course designed for Entry Level learners who want to build confidence in using maths in daily situations. Across 12 sessions, you will develop essential numeracy skills through real-life contexts such as shopping, budgeting, understanding simple bills, time and basic measurement. The course introduces simple fractions (e.g. ½, ¼) and basic percentages (e.g. 50%, 25%) in familiar situations. You will also learn to read and interpret simple timetables, such as daily routines or basic transport times. Through structured activities and guided practice, you will build confidence in applying maths step by step in everyday tasks
