During this five week course you will discover the significant connections that exist between garden design and literature. Through an examination of gardens and literature, we will establish the history, philosophical, aesthetic and political ideas which underpin gardens and the literature generated by them. Gardens are as you will realise our dangerous and incendiary things. The course will be supported by images and extracts on Canvas, which aim to enrich your understanding of a fascinating period. Each week will focus on a number of gardens or design movements and literary extracts, which will be analysed and discussed. Come along and enjoy a lively and informative exchange of views.

Your teacher, Georgia, has been a reflexology/yoga/aromatherapy/Indian head massage enthusiast for over 30 years and has trained many students in all subject areas, who have progressed to become successful therapists. During this relaxed and friendly short course, you will learn about the techniques used for this wonderful modality.

Strengthen your writing skills and learn reading techniques to help you tackle everyday situations at work or while studying. This adult English course helps you develop your language skills through real-life situations. Functional Skills level 1 is a government-funded accredited English course for adults. Functional Skills qualifications are free if you don't already have a GCSE in English or Maths at grades A*-C, or 4-9. We'll check your level and any previous qualifications before you start. This ensures you are on the correct course.

Writing Life is a stimulating and supportive creative non fiction writing class. Learn writing techniques to help your real-life stories come alive on the page. Using a variety of prompts from photos and also published stories, you'll have time to write and share. The tutor will give written feedback on one submission during the course.

The Crafting for the Community course is designed to empower learners to use their creative skills to make a positive impact within their local community. This hands-on program combines artistic expression with community engagement, encouraging learners to collaborate on projects that address local needs and foster social connections, learning a variety of crafts.
