Creative Writing: Creative Writing Group –  Sense of Place: Showing & Telling, part 2

Practice techniques for creating short stories, true or untrue. This is a continuation of the previous Friday morning course, though it is not necessary to have attended that course in order to do this one. We'll apply the principles of short fiction to our writing, with the focus this term on thinking about how point-of-view impacts on structure. There will be writing exercises, discussions, an optional weekly homework task and feedback. Guidance on feedback techniques will be provided. The course content has flexibility, and will be adapted to suit the needs of the group. Suitable for improvers. This is a follow on from the intermediate seated yoga class. If you are new to the class, do not worry as the teacher will differentiate the poses to ensure all students can engage in the session. During this relaxed and friendly short course, you will learn accessible extended seated yoga techniques and embed breathing techniques and a mediation into your practice. Learn a series of seated yoga techniques to stretch and tone your body using tin cans as weight bearing to strengthen the muscles. It would be useful to bring a yoga strap.
