This course is designed for ESOL learners at Entry 1 who want to improve their English for work and employability. You will learn useful vocabulary and phrases for the workplace, practise speaking and listening in work-related situations, and build confidence in reading and writing simple job-related texts. The course focuses on practical communication skills such as introducing yourself, asking questions, and understanding basic job information. Course description

"Language for Work is a practical course for ESOL learners at Entry 1 who want to improve their English for employment and job opportunities. The course will help you develop the language skills needed for everyday workplace situations and job applications. You will learn vocabulary for jobs, tasks, and tools, and practise speaking and listening through role-play and simple conversations.

You will also work on reading and writing skills by completing short forms, understanding signs and instructions, and writing basic personal details. Topics include introducing yourself to an employer, asking for help, understanding job adverts, and talking about your skills and experience. The tutor will guide you through interactive activities that build confidence step by step.

By the end of the course, you will feel more prepared to use English in work-related settings and take the next steps towards employment, volunteering, or further study. This course is ideal if you want to improve your communication skills for work and gain confidence in applying for jobs."
