This friendly, supportive course is designed especially for adults who are new to digital devices and want to build their skills at a comfortable pace. Whether you’ve never used a smartphone, tablet, or computer before, or you just want to understand the basics better, this course will guide you step by step.

Throughout the course, you will learn how to use digital devices for everyday tasks. We will explore how to connect to Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and personal hotspots, and what the most common icons and symbols mean. You’ll also have plenty of time to practise using these features on your own device so you feel more confident using them independently.

We will cover essential digital skills such as using a keyboard and mouse, navigating touchscreens, creating secure passwords, and setting up screen locks. You will also learn important tips for staying safe online and keeping your device protected.
