We are part of the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education in England and Scotland.
The WEA provides courses that fall into three categories:
- Recreational courses: For life-long learners, who enjoy the social aspect of studying with like-minded people in their area.
- Workplace courses: For learners interested in professional development opportunities, building confidence and skills for work.
- Community courses: For learners wishing to gain basic skills to improve their quality of life.
Our Branch provides recreational courses, either as online sessions during the week or in-person Saturday schools at RISC in the centre of Reading.
Our 2023-4 programme includes Art Appreciation, Architecture, Archaeology, Literature, Music, Philosophy and Politics, all delivered by professional Tutors.
