Course overview

This is the next stage course for entry level learners to continue their ESOL classes in the community. During the course you will continue to learn basic English that will help you better explore and take part in your local community and to help build your employability skills for work. Before you can join the course, your English skills will be checked with a short test so that the tutor can make sure that the class is right for you. This course is for people with little English. You do not need any ESOL qualifications to join.

Course description

This course is designed to continue to get learners even more confident when using English in their day to day lives and starting out their journey to gaining employment here in the UK. The course will add to the previous course and is designed for those learners who have a basic English language level at the moment and they will be tested before enrolment to make sure that they are on the correct course for their level. The course is designed to help empower learners to find more independence by being a step closer gaining employment. The course will be run face to face in a local friendly community venue where learners will be taught in a classroom by a qualified tutor. The classes will have a mixture of activities including activities to enhance their confidence through the learning f the essential skills such as speaking, listening, reading and writing. The course offered is unaccredited, however it is hoped that it can progress learners towards an accredited entry 1 qualification.

What financial support is available?

We don't want anything to stand in your way when it comes to bringing Adult learning within reach so if you need anything to support you to achieve your goals then speak to one of our education experts during your enrolment journey. Most of our courses are government funded but if you don't qualify or need alternative financial help to access them then let us know.

All of our digital content, teaching and learning activities and assessments are designed to be accessible so if you need any additional support you can discuss this with the education experts during your enrolment journey and we will do all we can to make sure you have optimal access.
