Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.
Course overview
Course description
This Maths for the Care sector course will support individuals working within care to develop numeracy skills to support their career goals. The skills learnt can be used to develop confidence in monitoring and recording blood pressure, heart rates, medication, using spreadsheets to understand data and a number of other tasks. You will have the opportunity to move onto level 1 and 2 functional skills qualifications in Maths.
The focus is on giving you practical skills for work and knowledge in numbers to help you develop new and existing skills and will learn new strategies to be proactive in your job role. This is an online course, you can join from the comfort of your home or workplace and get the required Maths skills. You will need to have a computer/ laptop / tablet, a stable internet connection and basic IT skills to attend the course. Sessions will be delivered via Zoom using Canvas which is our online learning platform. Our expert Maths Tutor will support you fully and completely throughout your Maths learning journey
