Our highly skilled tutors are the face of the WEA in the South west. They cover a huge variety of subjects are imaginative, creative and passionate about their subjects. Below are some of our tutor profiles, more will be added in the coming months.

We are looking for PART-TIME SESSIONAL COURSE TUTORS who believe that adult education has a social purpose.

You need to have a love of your subject and the enthusiasm and imagination to work with a wide-range of learners in localised community settings.  We prefer people to have experience and relevant qualifications in teaching adults but would also welcome applications from people who are keen to train.

We are particularly interested in talking to people who have experience or an interest in delivering adult education programmes in the following subject areas:

  • Arts, History & Culture
  • Employability
  • English & Maths (Functional Skills) & ESOL
  • ICT (in community settings using laptops and mobile devices)
  • Life Skills including Personal Development and Confidence Building
  • Schools & Parenting

We are looking for tutors in many areas across the South West but are particularly keen to talk to people in our cities/counties including Bristol, Cornwall, Dorset, Plymouth and Swindon.
