The WEA was established in 1903 and has provided part time courses for adults for nearly 120 years.

Why are we different?

All of our courses are live and tutor-led, unlike other learning providers. We use platforms like Zoom and Canvas, to allow learners to work together, make new friends and get feedback on work.

"I liked the fact that I could do my work at home, when I wanted to. The tutor could comment on our work. We could see other people's work. there was time to speak on Zoom to others too".

The WEA offer flexible online courses to support your job search and application processes.

We understand how daunting both searching for a job and the interview process are, that why our courses include high quality CV and cover letter writing to make you stand out, a review of your strengths and showing you how best to be successful in your application.

We also have a wide range of English, Maths, ESOL and digital skills courses, from taster (Get Started In, Get Ready For) to full qualifications (Level 1, 2, 3 qualifications).

What's more, most of our skills based courses are free*!
