Mark Crees's essays and stories have appeared in the Times Literary supplement, The Reader and The Threepenny Review.  His Dickensian play, The Locksmith's Wife, was performed by Cube Theatre in 2009.  A new play about D.H. Lawrence, Cops and Lovers, was given a rehearsed reading at the St Ives Festival in 2016.  Mark also occasionally performs his one-man show about the pleasures of reading entitled Dickens Out Loud.  He has a PhD in Victorian Literature.
