Summary description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project coordinator, responsible, along with other staff, for the delivery of the ESOL & Employability service on behalf of North Ayrshire Council.
Description

The Workers’ Educational Association is a charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. We are a charity with a strong sense of social purpose, dedicated to bringing great teaching into the heart of local communities. All our educational provision is developed with this in mind and our courses can be set up almost anywhere – for example in clubs, community centres, village halls, schools or where people work.

 

The main duties of this role include Carrying out Initial language assessments, Organising, planning, preparing and delivering ESOL tuition to learners. You will provide Mentor support, skills assessment and transitional support in work experience and employment. This role will require strong networking ability to build on local relationships which may lead to employment or volunteering opportunities.

CELTA or equivalent teaching English foreign language qualifications would be a benefit.
