Our return to face-to-face teaching

We are really looking forward to a return to face-to-face teaching, to complement our online provision which is here to stay.

We hope to phase back in our face-to-face community and skills learning programmes from Easter onwards, so keep an eye out on our website and community venues for updates.

You can guarantee that our top priority is your safety – so we are poring over the latest guidance from the UK and Scottish Governments and adjusting accordingly.

We’d love to do this even sooner, but we deliver many of our courses through venues knitted into the communities, rather than on our own premises. We need to risk assess each venue to ensure your safety in these environments and this takes a little while.

That said our online provision is going from strength to strength. We will continue to develop and deliver our rich curriculum online, providing the one-to-one support learners need alongside the class interaction that the WEA is known for.

Anyone new to online learning will find the support they need to enjoy it to the maximum and find an engaging and supportive student learning community around them – even in the digital sphere! We look forward to meeting you there!
