European Social Fund Community Grants Available
How much difference could £20,000 make in your community? Grants are now available for projects that make a real difference for people trying to get into work.
European Social Fund grants are available for local community organisations in Liverpool, Halton, Lancashire and Greater Manchester. The multi-million pound programme has been launched to tackle unemployment in those regions.
The funds have been granted by the government’s Education and Skills Funding Agency in partnership with Local Enterprise Partnerships to the WEA.
The WEA will distribute small grants of £20,000 to eligible organisations in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector between April 2019 and May 2021.
Funded activities will target those from hard to reach communities. The funding can help all who are out of work but include; people with disabilities and long term health conditions, single parents, women, people from ethnic minorities, over 50s and those planning to return to the workplace after a long period of absence.
