Innovative English Language Courses

With the support of Midlands Engine, The WEA are piloting a programme to support skilled residents within the Midlands to improve their English language skills to improve their chances of gaining employment relevant to their skills.

We are looking to identify cohorts of second-language English speakers who had a good levels of education, qualifications and work skills in their home countries to join our intensive English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.

If you, or someone you know , have a degree (or equivalent) or professional experience and want to improve your employability through improving your English language skills, then one of our intensive ESOL courses could be for you.

What else should I know?

This training is free thanks to the support of Midlands Engine.

The courses are intensive and require 12 to 15 hour's commitment each week. There is a choice of daytime or evening classes and learning is supported by a 24/7 online platform.

Our students will meet employers and will have support to create personalised career plans to improve their prospects of finding a skilled job.

Courses will be held in easily-accessible or city centre venues in Nottingham, Leicester and Birmingham starting spring 2019.
