The WEA conference combines the formal governance occasion of the annual general meeting for our Council and a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow members and develop ideas together.
 

Your chance to shape conference

We’d love to hear from you as to what you would like to see at the event.

Please complete this survey, based on suggestions made by members last year, to give your preferences by 13th May.

We won’t be able to do everything suggested in the survey, but we will do the most popular! A full agenda and registration details will be shared with members later this Summer.
 

Raising a motion

Do you have an idea for how the WEA could improve the learner or member experience which you would like Council to consider? If you have, please complete this form.

Please note, only one motion can be raised at a time on a form. If you wish to raise more, please submit the relevant number of forms.


Procedure

All motions will be acknowledged. Motions will be scrutinized by the Standing Orders Committee to ensure that they are in the correct form. They will then be discussed by Council and a preliminary decision as to future action, if needed, will be taken.

A report on all motions will be presented at Conference on Friday 30th September and will be circulated post-conference. Some motions, which Council determine require further discussion, will be debated at conference.
