The Workers’ Educational Association is a charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. We are a charity with a strong sense of social purpose, dedicated to bringing great teaching into the heart of local communities. All our educational provision is developed with this in mind and our courses can be set up almost anywhere – for example in clubs, community centres, village halls, schools, pubs or where people work.
This is an exciting opportunity for a project organiser with excellent organisational skills and project management experience to work within our East Midlands team and be responsible for all aspects of the WEA provision that forms part of a Community Learning contract with Nottinghamshire County Council.
The successful candidate will work closely with a range of stakeholders which are likely to include; WEA colleagues, community organisations, employers, and County Council staff. The postholder will be expected to represent the WEA and promote both the Association and the value of adult education in relevant contexts.
WEA offers generous terms and conditions including 30 days' holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme (subject to eligibility). Please note that holiday entitlement and salary, including bank holidays, is pro rata for part time staff.
The closing date for applications is Monday 2nd October 2017.
Interviews will be held in the Nottingham Regional Office on Wednesday 4th October 2017.
