Summary description

WEA have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator in Norwich to support the Sport England Project – Families Get Active. Sport England is a public body that works to encourage as many people as possible to become and remain physically active. The Project Coordinators role is to assist the Association in attaining educational excellence, sustainability and a positive profile by planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of innovative, high quality, learner-focussed educational programmes.

Description

The Workers’ Educational Association is a charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. We are a charity with a strong sense of social purpose, dedicated to bringing great teaching into the heart of local communities. All our educational provision is developed with this in mind and our courses can be set up almost anywhere – for example in clubs, community centres, village halls, schools or where people work

The post-holder promotes the Association through creation and maintenance of relevant networks and partnerships to achieve new business, contributing to a positive, engaging and rewarding workplace. Association courses are taught and organised by a team of dispersed tutors and staff, sometimes working remotely and flexibly. This requires close and co-operative working relationships with tutors, staff, partners and volunteers for the benefit of current and future learners. Areas of specialism and educational focus will be specified according to the project or thematic focus.
