Description

All posts at the WEA will support the vision for "A better world - equal, democratic and just; through adult education the WEA challenges and inspires individuals, communities and society.”   

Project Coordinator for Clarion Digital Skills Project, The post holder will be expected to work closely with a range of stakeholders and work collaboratively to deliver project outcomes. Has day-to-day responsibilities for coordinating a small number of sessional teaching staff and volunteers. The post-holder will co-ordinate project activities within the region and ensure that outputs and outcomes are met according to the contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake outreach work with the partner organisation to engage participants in project activities
  2. Provide information and advice to signpost individuals to project activities
  3. Promote the work of the WEA to develop and build collaborative partnerships
  4. Plan, organise and implement workshops, courses and activities at appropriate venues/locations
  5. Facilitate referrals of students to and from  our partner networks
  6. Provide induction and ongoing information, advice and support to tutors and volunteers on all aspects of their role within the project
  7. Monitor quality of project provision using appropriate methods e.g. analysis of Management Information System data,  undertaking Observation of Teaching, Learning and Assessment (OTLA) visits;
  8. Address any identified issues arising from project delivery in liaison with designated manager;
  9. Produce draft reports as required for monitoring project outcomes and progress using both qualitative and quantitative data and in time to meet required deadlines
  10. Ensure all records are maintained and stored securely and confidentially, adhering to GDPR policies
  11. Collect and prepare case studies and impact assessments on project outcomes and impact as required and particularly for the end of the project ensuring the ‘voices’ of students, volunteers and staff are clearly represente
  12. 12. Undertake other relevant duties at the direction of the WEA Manager
