Summary description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Tutor responsible, along with other staff, for the quality of the delivery of English, Maths and ESOL within East Berkshire.

The WEA is a charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. We are a charity with a strong sense of social purpose, dedicated to bringing great teaching into the heart of local communities. 

The main duties of this role will include supporting the development and implementation of English, Maths & ESOL courses, ensuring consistency and high quality across a team of tutors and providing coaching and mentoring support to staff & learners.

Teaching opportunities may also be available in order to increase working hours.

About you

You will be experienced in delivering accredited and non accredited courses in at least one of these subject areas, along with having experience of developing and supporting tutors. You will need to hold Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (QCF) or an equivalent (DTLLS, Cert Ed / PGCE / C&G 7407 Stage 3 / BEd / QTS or QTLS Status), and a Level 5 subject specialism. .
