The Workers’ Educational Association is a charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. We are a charity with a strong sense of social purpose, dedicated to bringing great teaching into the heart of local communities. All our educational provision is developed with this in mind and our courses can be set up almost anywhere – for example in clubs, community centres, village halls, schools or where people work.
The main duties in this role are delivering ESOL tuition to learners and leading a team of tutors; this will include as required: observations of Teaching, Learning and Assessment (OTLAs), tutor performance management, tutor recruitment and tutor training and development. Your educational experience should include delivering group sessions while ensuring an individual learner focus is maintained at all times. Some familiarisation with SQA ESOL qualifications and systems would be a benefit.
