Who we are

The Workers’ Educational Association is a unique charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. With a clear vision and a strong social purpose, we bring great teaching to local communities, with life-changing courses held in clubs, pubs, workplaces, schools and almost anywhere else you can think of. Since 1903, we have been giving disadvantaged people the opportunity to return to learning – inspiring them to realise their full potential and become active, engaged citizens. We see education as a tool for social justice, not just self-improvement, and we pride ourselves on making learning egalitarian and accessible. Volunteers play a central role in everything we do, from governance through to classroom support, helping us deliver courses to 50,000 people in 2,300 locations – and enabling us to reach 80% of the population.

About the role

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking a variety of administrative and practical duties in support of the Association’s ICT-related operations and activities. Duties will include responsibility for making sure that the ICT managed service provider is correctly adding, changing and closing User accounts on all of the ICT managed systems including telephony and provide technical support and advice as required across the whole of the WEA. Install and upgrade both systems and application software as required adhering to all Licensing regulations. This is a challenging role and good administration experience.

About you

Empowering people from all walks of life is what we’re all about, so we’re keen to hear from people in disadvantaged or underrepresented groups. Whatever your background, you will need to be highly organised and have good administration skills.
