Working in Partnership with the Department of Education, the WEA is undertaking a National Flexible Learning Fund Project to develop & test new models of delivery of basic skills training to people either in or returning to the workplace.
We are seeking to recruit a Digital Lead Developer to play a key role in the delivery of the Flexible Learning Project across the country, which is a key project for the WEA.
You will be responsible for the development and testing of a stepped approach to the development of digital skills to support learners less experienced in using digital platforms who currently can’t access face-to-face learning nor learn successfully in an online environment. Learners will be studying maths, English, ESOL or digital skills up to level 2.
We are looking for someone who holds an NVQ/Level 5 Teaching qualification along with a relevant qualification in instructional design training or demonstrable experience of designing and managing online learning. You will be competent in the use of digital applications and software to design resources and communicate with subject-matter experts and project funders.
This role is homebased, but you must be willing and able to travel throughout the country as required.
This role is for a fixed term of 6 months from the start date
