Financial Support Assistant – INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY

Location: Leeds

Hours: 35 hours per week (1.0 FTE) 

Salary:  Grade 6: £17,769 to £19,747 per annum

The Workers’ Educational Association is the UKs largest voluntary sector provider of adult education in England and Scotland.

We are seeking to recruit a Financial Support Assistant to assist with all aspects of the Association’s financial analysis and financial support, day to day processing tasks and responsibilities, while providing a customer focused service at all times.

Based in Leeds and reporting to the Financial Support Assistant Team Leader, the post-holder will ensure all month and year end activities are carried out to the agreed timetable, and ensure accounting data is coded correctly for maintaining accurate financial records. The post-holder will assist with reconciliations of control accounts and work with other finance colleagues to support WEA branches and national procurement tasks.

The post holder will hold a good level of numeracy and IT skills and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar environment. We offer generous terms and conditions including 30 days holidays, plus bank holidays (pro-rata for part time staff) and pension scheme – subject to eligibility.
