The Workers’ Educational Association (WEA)
Is an educational charity delivering responsive, relevant and accessible programmes of learning across England and Scotland. Through our vision of employability, health & wellbeing, community engagement and cultural studies, we raise the educational aspirations of local communities.
We are seeking to recruit a Employability Project and Training Coordinator to deliver the BBO Include-IT Mersey promoting Digital Inclusion in Liverpool City Region (LCR). You will be responsible for maintaining a team to drive forward delivery using our agreed core model and approach within the BBO Digital Inclusion project covering the areas of Sefton and Halton.
It is anticipated that the post holder will work closely with a range of stakeholders which are likely to include; Include-IT Mersey Project Lead and partners, community organisations, service providers (e.g. DWP, JCP) employers, WEA members, volunteers, staff and project participants.
The post-holder may also be required to deliver sessions and/or provide cover for staff delivering courses targeted at eligible local working age people to increase their employability skills and move closer to / into employment and training.
She/he will be expected to represent the WEA and promote both the Association and the value of adult education in relevant contexts.
We offer generous terms and conditions including 30 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pension scheme – subject to eligibility. Please note holiday entitlement, including bank holidays is pro rata for part time staff.
